Does army clothing have what it takes to be comfortable functional clothing?

What would many people probably think of first when it comes to army clothing? Likely camouflage patterns, tactical vests, and heavy boots. And there is no doubt: we carry all that and much more in our Swiss military shop. Nevertheless, established military forces are equipped by renowned brand manufacturers. These stand for quality, functionality, and reliable protection, even under adverse weather conditions. As such, they meet the same standards as conventional functional clothing. It is important to apply the layering principle during every excursion into nature or time spent outdoors. It is not so much about wearing as many layers as possible on top of each other. Rather, the various layers of functional or army clothing should be coordinated in such a way that we feel comfortable even in wind and weather. The first layer, closest to the body, is the underwear. Here, it is important to ensure that it keeps the skin dry. The second layer of functional and military clothing serves to insulate the body and ensure a consistently pleasant, warm temperature. Our layer clothing system is ideal for this. Finally, with the third layer, you ensure that you form an effective climate barrier against the outside world. Depending on the weather, the army clothing should be both water-repellent and warming. In addition to classic trousers, shirts, and sweaters, we also stock rainwear for this purpose, as well as a large selection of headwear, scarves, and gloves.
